First Day of School

I can't believe it's already time for school.....but....hooray!!!!  Four of my kids go to a Charter School.  I have a sixth grader, two fifth graders and a first grader....Wow!  They were so cute on their first day.

My two oldest kids will start on Monday.....7th and 9th grade......wow, that ages me.  I'll post a pic of them soon.

I can't believe how fast they grow.  My youngest is 2 and I'm soaking up every minute.  He'll be going into school soon enough.  I'm so thankful to be able to stay home.  I thank my supportive hubby for that.  I know some moms have to work and I don't have anything against that.  I was a working mom for along time, so I know what it's like to leave kids everyday at a sitters house.  It's not easy!  I'm just really grateful to be able to stay home for them.

I made this bag for a friend of mine.....she's been waiting along time to get it(sorry).  Sooooo I finally made it and gave it to her.  She liked it!

Modest Clothes

If you're looking for modest clothes at great prices.......I have some great ideas for you.  One of my favorites is Coverwear and Down East Basics.  They have the cutest things!!! Love it!

What I love about Down East Basics(above) is the half sleeves on the tees.  I don't really like to show off my arms so I love the coverage.

Another fav is Coverwear.....not only can you buy great clothes, you can become a rep and get great discounts.  I'm all about discounts!  If I had the time....I would be a rep.

Monster Bus Ride

The Sears Grand close to our house has this HUGE Monster School Bus.  We stopped by to take a look and our boys went crazy( our girls went home with my brother and his cute family, and we kept his two boys).  So we put 7 boys on this bus for a FAST ride around the parking lot.  This is as they were getting on.

Hello Everyone...Long Time No Post

Hello everyone, it's been a few days since I've posted.  I've been really busy with my kids.  Yesturday we went to Gardner Village with my kids.  It's a great little place to feed ducks, take pictures, eat candy, have lunch and shop!  We had so much fun.  I took several pic's of my kids, two of them were gone with an aunt, so I didn't get pic's of them.  Just another excuse to go back.  Here's some of the pictures I took:

How to Make a Banner

I've been trying to design a new look for my blog.  The other day I thought I had decided and then.....I had to change it back.  I'm working on a new look but I'm so computer illiterate.....it may take a while.  Anyone out there now how to do this stuff.....like, make a banner, or a link button, and so on......:).  I'm trying to stay patient and do it myself.....but Seriously! I need Help!  I guess I could take a class or something like that.  I'm not very good at reading all the computer lingo, very dyslexic!!(spelling?). 

Sooooo, everyone who knows about all this computer stuff(my brother would be so disappointed, he's a computer guru and also very busy).....please Help Me with some advice.

Isn't this Terrific.  My brother showed me this and I had to have it.  I made him send me a copy.....okay, I asked him.  What a guy! 

These words are from the 13 Articles of Faith.  There size depends on how often they were used in the Articles of Faith.  So you can see....Believe is used the most and the God is next and so on.  I love this.

Always Changing

Do you like my new blog theme?......my daughter picked this one out.  I've been in the mood for a change.....I'm sure it will change again soon.  I don't know why I can't stay still for more than a few minutes.....this applies not only to this blog but in my everyday life.  I'm always thinking about what's next.  What project is next, what can I make, where can I go(gas prices squashed that).  My husband can hardly stand it.  He's more of a "Feet Planted on the Ground" kind of guy.  I must be ADD or ADHD with a little OCD. :)  I love change....sometimes I don't.....but for the most part, I love doing new things.  Like my decorations.....always changing!!!  My hubby says, "wait five minutes" it'll be different.  I can't help it if things are different in our house, almost every time, he comes home.  Not really!!! Not Every time!!  A Lot, but  not every time.  SO, I'm sure this blog will have a new face, again, soon!  My blog is like the weather......Always Changing!

Works For Me Wednesday

Can you tell I like this day of the week stuff.  It's really fun!  Today is WFMW from Rocks In My Dryer, so I'm going to tell you what works for me.  It's Chocolate Chip Cookies, they're kind of a staple in our house.  I make them often.  Not so much during the summer though.

Here's how it works for me:

1.  I pick up the CCC's from the store......I love the smell of them.  It gets me excited to make them.

2.  I set out all the ingredients(room temp ingredients make a difference).  This gets the kids excited.

3.  I mix the ingredients and it gets the kids running to the kitchen.....hoping for cookie dough.

4.  While their eating, I'm scooping dough onto cookies sheets.  They talk to each other about anything and everything.  It's fun to listen.

5.  When they're done with the dough, they will go play or stick around.  Either way....I know I've brought sunshine to their day.

6.  Cookies come out of the oven.  Kids are back in the kitchen eating and dunking and talking. 

7.  I can sit back and listen to how they interact with each other.  It makes me feel so lucky.

8. CCC's brings our family closer, believe it our not.  The conversations and laughter are Amazing.

9.  Last but never least.....baking CCC's reminds me of how lucky I am.  I have the most wonderful job in the world.  My love of my job is magnified by the support I get from MY HUBBY!  I get to make CCC's for my kids.....and husband.  I don't have too, I get too.  I don't know if I would be the wife and mother I am today without him.......back off ladies, he's mine!

10.  So you see.....CCC's works for ME.......and MY Family!
